George Clairmont

Dr. Clairmont grew up In Brockton, a resident of Norwell, and is a retired physician. He graduated summa cum laude from University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Biochemistry, did research at the Shriners Burn Institute in Boston, and graduated from Tufts Medical School. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at New England Deaconess Hospital, and after serving for the National Public Health Service, he entered private practice in Abington where he practiced primary care and geriatric medicine. In the 1990’s, he cofounded a large multi-location primary care organization in Southeastern Massachusetts and served as its President for over 17 years. He has served on many committees and boards at several Massachusetts health care organizations and insurance companies. Currently, he is President of the Plymouth District Medical Society, a Trustee of the Massachusetts Medical Society, and a member of the Norwell Board of Health.

He is married to Dr. Fran Clairmont DMD, a retired dentist who is very active in the Massachusetts Dental Society. They were married at St. Demetrious in Weston, have one daughter a son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. As Interfaith Orthodox Christians, Fran and George love their faith and encouraging others to a greater understanding of orthodoxy.
